Large Rabbit Hutches - Pros and Cons

One of the major factors of choosing a home for your pet is its size. A large rabbit hutch is deemed to be better for the rabbit's welfare than a smaller one. However, there are also some disadvantages to buying a big hutch. In this article I want to go over some of the pros and cons of having a large rabbit hutch. I hope that this will help you to choose the very best hutch for your pet.

Pros:

- A large hutch provides greater living space for your pet which allows it to run around, hop, exercise, and so on.

- A spacious hutch allows you to have more rabbits now or in the future if you so choose.

- A big hutch is sturdier, for the most part, and will last you longer than a small one.

- Having space will make your rabbit happier and more lively.

Cons:

- A big hutch usually costs more money than a smaller one. If you're looking for a cheap hutch, size will have major impact on the price.

- A large rabbit hutch requires a lot of space in your home. Some hutches are meant to be outdoors. You can't really fit them inside your home. Unless you have space in your home or yard, you will be limited in your options of hutches.

- A bigger hutch requires more cleaning. This does up more of your time.

Space is crucial for your pet's happiness and health. However, you don't need to go overboard with it. Choose a good sized hutch and your rabbit will be happy.
